“You are the queen of my heart. From today onwards, you are my life partner, my ardhangini (betterhalf),” said Tharoor, taking his wedding vows for the second time in less than 10 days.

The couple tied the knot on August 22 at Shashi Tharoor’s 200-year-old ancestral home in Palakkad, Kerala.

The wedding is the third for both Tharoor, 54, and Dubai-based Sunanda Pushkar, who is of Kashmiri origin.

The second day of the three-day-long wedding celebrations following the Hindu-style ceremony was held at the residence of a Dubai-based Indian businessman and attended by friends and family members.

Guests were seen arriving at the venue quite early in the afternoon.

Also present was on the occasion was Harshad Mehta, Chairman of Rosyblue, and Chairman of the IPL Kochi franchisee.

“I am quite happy for the couple and wish them all the best for their life ahead,” said Prakash Bhojwani, in whose residence the ceremony was held.

About 60-odd guests were present on the occasion. The reception is scheduled to be held on Wednesday.
