Arsenal fans are having to deal with a fake Facebook page created in controversial attacker Samir Nasri’s name that left them fuming today.

Fans awoke to find a statement from the French star on his said Facebook page which read: “It’s nearly done. But I will leave with bitterness and anger in my heart.”

Needless to say there was much anger and bitterness all round.

However, it now emerges that the Nasri Facebook posting is fake.

Nasri himself tweeted today from his official twitter account @Nanas08Samir:
“Just to make things clear i dont have a facebook so i never said i was leaving with bitterness the guy who said that use a fake account.”

"I heard what the fans were singing about me on saturday and it is really disrespectful because i'm still a arsenal player," he wrote.

Interestingly, the tweet does not say he is staying, wants to stay or is not leaving.

Several British papers carried the Facebook comments and with Arsenal fans already unhappy with Nasri wanting to leave, this crisis is far from over.
