A new scam offering a chance to win 5,000 yet-to-be-launched Samsung Galaxy S4 mobile phones has surfaced on the Facebook.

The page has already received about 30,000 likes but Samsung says it has got nothing to do with the fan page.

An official who did not want to be named said it’s official facebook page continues to be Samsung Mobile and Samsung Mobile Arabia in the region and it has got nothing to do with the fan page Samsung Galaxy SIV Asian.

Similarly Sony has warned its fans to beware of sites that offer free beta version of the PlayStation 4.

“Important: Sites or individuals offering "PS4 beta tests" are frauds. Don't be fooled! Follow @PlayStation for official news on PS4,” it said in a tweet.

The fake Samsung S4 Facebook account – which was created last week - claims that the handset would be given away to those who ‘Like’ it and ‘Share’ it through the account.

The account - titled Samsung Galaxy S4 – says that the winners will be selected from all over the world on March 14, 2013. The winner will be
given away S4 on March 15.

“We are giving away 5,000 Samsung Galaxy S4 to 5000 lucky fans for FREE. All that you need to do is complete the easy steps below to participate! (Worldwide),” the account claims.

1. Like => Samsung Galaxy S 4
2. Share this photo.
3. Chose your color (white/black/blue/red)

Interestingly, Samsung has not yet officially announced the launch of S4 mobile but reports claim that the technology giant would launch S4 on March 14, 2013.

More than 7,760 people clicked on the ‘Like’ button and 11,340 had shared this advertisement till the filing of this report.

The account seems to be fake as the Samsung’s original Facebook account doesn’t mention launch date of Galaxy S4 or free distribution of S4.
