UAE home phone owners: Win free Xbox One, PS4

Being the smaller fixed-line telecom services provider in the UAE, Dubai-based du is seen by analysts as the bigger beneficiary of the recent soft launch of the fixed-line infrastructure sharing deal that the two operators signed at the recent Gitex Technology Week in Dubai.

Until now, Du was restricted to offering such services in newer, freehold areas in Dubai while Etisalat provided the services in the rest of Dubai and across all other emirates in the UAE.

In an attempt to attract new home services customers (as well as retain and reward existing ones), du has announced a marketing initiative whereby its home services customers stand to win an Xbox One or PlayStation 4 by entering into an online quiz. (Click here for the quiz page www.du.ae/AtHome)

The firm said existing home customers as well as those who sign up with du home services during the course of the competition are eligible.

“We’re always thrilled to add life to life to our valued customers by giving them more chances to win through competitions. Gaming has become a global phenomenon over the last few years, so what better way to surprise our customers than by giving them the chance to win the latest gaming devices,” Fahad Al Hassawi, Chief Commercial Officer, du, said in a media statement.

The firm said it will announce 20 gaming winners each week, for a period of four weeks.

“We are committed to increasing the happiness levels of the UAE population by engaging them in exciting new ways, and our broadband has high upload speeds combined with no customer traffic management to offer the best gaming experience,” he added.
