BMW recalling over 1,850 cars in UAE

German automaker BMW is recalling more than 1,850 cars in the UAE due to a technical fault.

According to a report in Emarat Al Youm, Dr Hachim Al Nuaimi, Director of the Consumer Protection Department at the Ministry of Economy, said BMW X1, X3, X5, X6, and Z-4 models are being recalled due to the fault.

Dr. Al Nuaimi said the ministry will coordinate with the local dealers to recall 1,854 cars manufactured from September 2009 until January 2011.

A media advertising campaign has been launched to inform customers about the recall.
