Al-Futtaim Watches scouts for distributors in EU

Al-Futtaim Watches & Jewellery, one of the leading retailer, wholesaler and brand principals of the world renowned watches and jewellery brands, is scouting for distributors in Myanmar and European Union countries, said a senior official.

The company, a subsidiary of well-diversified Al Futtaim group, deals in renowned watches and jewellery brands including Kolber, Seiko, Raymond Weil, Espirit, Fossil, Westar in UAE, GCC, Europe, Singapore, Malaysia and Africa. Kolber and Westar are company’s own brands.

Allwyn Lewis, Business Manager of Kolber International, said: “We are looking for distributors in EU countries and Myanmar and other countries where we don’t have presence. We’re looking for distributors in all the European countries.”

Lewis was speaking at the celebration of Kolber completing 30 years. He said 2013 started very well and sales are better than the last year.

“Start of 2013 is good, better than 2012. We expect to grow internationally through our two brands Westar and Kolber.”

The company also launched 2013 collection which will help the company grow its market share.

Thomas Dotzek, Senior General Manager of Al-Futtaim Watches and Jewellery, said: “We currently have approximately 900 points of sale across 41 countries and 15 Duty Free outlets around the world and I am confident that we will continue this pace of growth in the coming future.”

He said the group launched 90 new models in its 2013 collection on Monday.
