Emirates Islamic Bank today unveiled its new identity as “Emirates Islamic”. The new name is part of a comprehensive rebranding exercise undertaken by the bank that reflects its modern, more vibrant, and customer-focused approach.

The new branding was the result of more than 12 months of market research and collated work with customer focus groups. The brand was designed with a focus on simplicity and complete customer centricity.

The three lines that make the ‘E’ in the ‘EI’ logo stand for the three focal business areas of the bank, namely Personal, Business and Corporate, while the single line ‘I’ represents the single-minded customer focus. The colours of the brand were selected to reflect the unique positioning of the bank within the market as an Islamic Bank for all customers, offering innovative customer solutions, rather than just banking products.

Most elements of the bank’s operations such as the website, online banking, mobile banking and ATMs now feature the rebranded look. Branches will be rebranded in phases over the months of November and December.

Emirates Islamic also confirmed that the rebranding exercise does not affect its banking services to its customers. Customers of the bank should also expect to start receiving the new cards, reflecting the new Emirates Islamic brand, over the course of the first quarter of 2014.
