Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing Department recently organised an introductory lecture about the Air Wing Department's tasks and duties.
The lecture was held at the Aviation Development and Planning Division at the Department of Transport (DoT), Abu Dhabi, and presented by Lt. Colonel Pilot Salem Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Air Operations Branch Manager.
Lt Colonel Al Suwaidi gave a presentation about the stages of establishment of the Air Wing Department, its various sections and their duties.
"The main goal of Abu Dhabi Police’s Air Wing Department is to maintain the safety of society and achieve the highest standards of security and safety for citizens and residents through road monitoring, search and rescue, air ambulance assistance for victims of traffic accidents, and transfers between hospitals," he said.
At the end of the lecture, Mohamed Abubaker Farea, Director of Aviation Development and Planning Division, thanked the Air Wing Department for organising the lecture.
He praised its efforts to achieving security and safety for citizens or residents alike, and valued cooperation between both parties. Commemorative gifts were then exchanged.
The lecture was attended by Major Ali Obeid bin Bader, executive Abdul Wahhab Abdullah Alghay, Mohamed Abu Baker Farea, Director of Aviation Development and Planning Division, along with a number of employees from the Department of Transport (DoT).
