The committee for monitoring fuel prices approved an increase in fuel prices in September 2023 by an amount ranging from 28 to 29 fils in gasoline, and 45 fils in diesel per liter compared to the prices of August 2023.
Fuel distribution companies announced the new prices, which will start to be applied from tomorrow, Friday, September 1, 2023, where the new pricing included a 5% value-added tax.
The price of a liter of super gasoline "98" increased by 28 fils from 3.14 dirhams in August to 3.42 dirhams in September, as the price of a liter of private gasoline "95" increased by 29 fils from 3.02 dirhams in August to 3.31 dirhams in September.
The price of a liter of "E Plus" gasoline "91" also increased by 28 fils from 2.95 dirhams in August to 3.23 dirhams in September.
The price of a liter of diesel also increased by 45 fils per liter from 2.95 dirhams in August to 3.40 dirhams in September.
The committee had approved a reduction in fuel prices in June 2023 by an amount of 21 fils in gasoline, and 23 fils for diesel per liter compared to the prices of May. It also approved a reduction in fuel prices in April by an amount ranging from 7 to 8 fils and a reduction in diesel by 11 fils per liter compared to the prices of March 2023.
Fuel pricing criteria adopted by the Ministry of Energy are determined on a monthly basis, according to the average global oil prices, up or down, after adding the operating costs of distribution companies.
