Indian jeweller ventures into Dubai

Bhima Jewellers is set to open its first international outlet in Dubai. One of the oldest jewellery chains from Kerala, Bhima Jewellers, will invest nearly Dh300 million to set up a chain of retail outlets in the UAE and other Gulf countries.

The first showroom in Karama Centre, Dubai, will be inaugurated by Malayalam film actor and director Nivin Pauly today. Bhima Jewellers will open branches in all the seven emirates.

 “We have been busy in our Indian operations and it is never too late to come to Dubai. This is our first international branch and we have branches  across Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu in India,” said Dr. B. Govindan, Director, Bhima Jewellers.

The Karama Centre outlet will display bridal jewellery, antique and temple jewellery, light weight and kids’ jewellery, daily wear ornaments and jewellery for men apart from its signatrure diamonds from Bhima collections. The designs range from traditional to avant-grade.

Bhima Jewellers was started in 1925 by K Bhima Bhattar.
