Emiratis jailed for stealing bike
A couple of jobless Emiratis who stole two motor bikes from a villa at Emirates Hills were sentenced to three months in jail each, by the Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance.
A third person, also involved in the theft, has been sent to the Juvenile Court.
According to the records, on September 29 when British manager AJ, 33, got out of his house, he noticed the two motorbikes that he had parked in the garage were missing. He immediately reported the matter to the police.
Investigating the complaint, police arrested NA, 19, who pleaded guilty.
The culprit also admitted that he had taken the help of a juvenile while committing the crime. He said, “NA climbed the fence of the Emirates Hills complex while IK, 19, remained outside on guard, in the car.
“We got into a villa and found two motorbikes in the garage. We drove away the two motorbikes after connecting the engine wires. I got one motorbike and NA got the other,” admitted NA.
Police arrested the juvenile NA, and confiscated the other motorbike.
