Family on picnic finds dead woman in bag

A Saudi man on a picnic with his family stumbled across a large leather bag dumped near the road and quickly phoned the police, who found a dead Asian woman inside.

The man said he suspected the bag contained a dead body because of its strong foul smell, adding that he could see a limb after peering through a hole in the bag.

Police in the Western Saudi town of Taif said they found bruises on the woman’s neck and other parts of her body, indicating she had been beaten up to death.

‘Sabq’ newspaper said the woman was found half-naked and that police are investigating the case to identify the body and the killer.

It said police found pilgrimage guide book in her pocket but gave no other details.
