A Nigerian security guard allegedly gave his card and a photocopy of his Emirates ID to a visiting compatriot and asked him to go to work instead of himself, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
The employer YM, 44 manager of the security company was assigning tasks on the staff on December 3, and checked the staff cards.
“I checked the staff guards that are issued by Dubai Police and found out that one of the staff was holding a card that was not his card.
“Asking him about his Emirates ID, he presented a photocopy of it that carried the name of OA,” said the manager, who reported the incident to the police.
Police found out that the real name of the man was AH, 31, and he is a visitor.
When confronted, AO and his visiting friend AH admitted to the crime.
Records did not mention why that two did that.
AH is accused of posing another person, while AO is accused of criminal complicity.
The court will give a sentence on March 7.
