Police arrested two sales women at a school in Abu Dhabi’s western region on charges of selling expired packed food, the press reported on Sunday.
The two were arrested after more than 120 expired nuts packs were found at the school’s canteen, dating back to December, Emirat Alyoum daily said.
It said the prosecutor is also questioning the owner of the company which supplies food to that girls’ school.
The paper quoted sources at the prosecution office as saying the two sales girls, if convicted, could be jailed for two years and fined Dh10,000 on charges of endangering public health.
