3 thieves steal safe containing Dh45,000
Three jobless Asians who broke into a company’s office and stole a safe that contained Dh45,000 were sentenced to one year in jail.
The Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance also ordered AS and BJ, both 27 and Afghans, in addition to AK, 29, Pakistani, to be deported after serving their jail term.
According to the records, on March 19, 2009, the manager of a cargo company in Al Awir, BM, 59, Syrian, locked the door at the end of the day.
“At around 1.30am, I received a phone call from a friend telling me that he noticed that the door of my company’s office was open. I rushed to the company and found out that the lock was broken and that the safe that contained Dh45,000 was missing,” the manager old police.
Police arrested AS and BJ, both 27 and Afghans, in addition to AK, 29, Pakistani, for their involvement in a number of thefts committed in 2009.
Sergeant Sale Abdullah investigated the case and the three admitted to burgling the company’s office and stealing the safe.
