6 Pakistanis arrested in mobile scam

Sharjah Police arrested a gang of 6 Pakistani members who duped people by asking them to send huge cash amounts, Al Khaleej reported.

The gang of 6 allegedly called people informing them they had won a grand prize through a raffle draw. However, in order to claim the prize, they were had to send a large sum of money.

The cash collected was distributed among the members.

Police received several complaints from victims and have nabbed the fraudsters.

Colonel Jihad Saeed Sahoo, director of the Criminal Investigation Department of Sharjah Police, urged people to be more vigilant  and avoid becoming victims to such crimes.
