6-year-old girl groped in Sharjah building lift

Sharjah Police arrested MAM, a Bangladeshi restaurant worker, on Sunday for groping a six-year-old girl in the lift of her building in the Maysaloun area of the emirate.

The emirate’s Al Hirah police station had got a tip-off from a man of Arab nationality.

Police suspected a worker of a restaurant near the house of the girl whose appearance matched the man’s descriptions by the girl and the watchman.

After his arrest, MAM admitted that when he saw the girl enter the building and was walking towards the elevator, he ran into the building, entered the lift and tried to molest the child.
