Ajman Police arrest gang of shop robbers

Ajman Police arrested three UAE nationals for carrying out robberies in several shops in the emirate of Ajman.

The director of the outer regions Police Department, Colonel Khaled Mohammed Al Nuaimi, said that the police received a number of reports of recurring theft of commercial premises in Manama. They then formed a team in Manama police station to start investigation and catch the perpetrators.

Naimi added that the team was able to determine the identity of the three accused men who robbed the shops at night.

It turns out that two of them are brothers, 19 and 20-years-old and lived in Abu Dhabi, while a third suspect, 25-year-old was from Umm Al Quwain.

Nuaimi continued: "After coordination and cooperation with Abu Dhabi Police the two brothers were arrested in their home, while the third suspect was caught in coordination with the Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain police while he was visiting his friends in Khorfakkan.

Naimi added that the police seized stolen goods in the homes of the accused, which included 11 mobile phones, Dh20000, sports car and financial papers.

Colonel Khaled Mohammed Al Nuaimi praised authorities in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah Police and urged shopkeepers to take caution and the install surveillance cameras in their shops.
