Asian vice ring busted in RAK

Police in Ras Al Khaimah dismantled an Asian vice ring after they raided a flat in the northern city and arrested five men and two women.

Police decided to storm the apartment following a tip off that its residents are involved in suspicious activities, newspapers said.

Police said the seven were arrested after confessing they were involved in prostitution activities. In court, the judge sentenced the seven to jail terms ranging between three months and five years and ordered their deportation from the UAE.
