Blanket thief held in Sharjah

At a time when thieves are target valuables, cash and gold...a Pakistani man has confessed to stealing blankets. And not a few but six truck loads full, worth about Dh200,000.

He allegedly stole 500 boxes of blankets from a warehouse in Sharjah Industrial area. He was nabbed while transporting them to warehouse in Dubai.

The warehouse owner said he had lost the main key to the warehouse earlier and believes the 29-year-old suspect used a spare key to enter the place.

Investigations are on. The motive behind the crime is not known yet.
