Ras Al Khaimah police arrested two men after catching them hiding nearly 7,460 banned Tramadol pills under a tree in the northern emirate.
Acting on a tip-off, counter-drug cops lured the two to the place where they were believed to have hidden the stuff, with one of them posing as a customer.
When the two dug under the tree and extracted the pills stuffed in a plastic bag, policemen hiding nearby swooped in and arrested the two.
“They confessed they possessed these tablets. The operation to seize the two was codenamed ‘Al Izba,” Emarat Al Youm daily said, quoting Colonel Ibrahim Kaptan, director of RAK counter-narcotics unit.
