Child molester blames the Devil in court

A Pakistani domestic servant who allegedly molested a six- year old girl on the roof of the building where she lived, claimed that the Devil had seduced him into the act, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

A 42-year old Indian accountant had sent her six-year-old daughter to a party in the house of a neighbour, intending to follow her later.

“On October 17, I changed my daughter’s dress to go to my neighbour’s party. Five minutes after she went to my neighbour’s house, a boy knocked on the door and asked for my daughter, saying she is not in their flat. I got scared and went to search for my daughter.

“When I opened the door, I saw her standing scared and I asked her to get in and close the door. She told me that someone had taken her to the roof of the building, kissed her and groped her private parts. Checking her underwear, I found two spots. I immediately informed my husband who took our daughter and searched for the man whom they saw sitting on the stairs. When my husband caught him, he denied molesting her but admitted taking her to the roof of the building. We took our daughter to the hospital where we were told that she had been sexually molested, so we lodged a complaint with the police,” the mother of the child testfieid.

Police arrested RR, 29, whose sperms were found on the roof. The little girl said he asked her to lie down after kissing her and removing her trousers and underwear.

The accused admitted to molesting the little girl and claimed that the Devil had seduced him to do what he did.

The Court will reconvene on February 2.
