'Chilli powder' gang held in Sharjah

A gang of Pakistanis who used chilli powder as weapon to assault a watchman and stole electric cables from a warehouse in Sharjah Industrial area have been arrested.

Following a complaint from the firm, the CID team from Sharjah Police set into action and identified one of the gang members, He confessed to the crime and led the cops to the others in his team.

Upon interrogation all 13 men admitted to spraying chilli powder on the guards face, beating him and stealing electric cables from the warehouse.

They are referred to the Public Prosecution.
