Container theft gang nabbed in Sharjah

Sharjah Police has arrested a six-member gang specialising in theft of containers laden with goods from the front of warehouses in the industrial areas of the emirate.

The arrested people included four Pakistanis, one Gulf national and an Indian.

According to the police, the gang had a truck customers to tow the containers away to the several places where they stored stolen goods.

Some of the stolen goods have been seized from shops in Dubai while some goods were hidden in homes in Ras Al Khaimah, some farms in Ajman and in the house of one of the gang members in Dhaid.

Sharjah Police has advised owners of businesses not to leave containers in isolated areas and ensure that their doors are locked.
