Crime File: Suspicious husband beats up his wife's boss

An Arab national in Kuwait roughed up a person, who is his wife's manager at the workplace, because he believed the duo were having an affair.

According to 'Al-Rai' daily, the husband admitted to police that he thrashed the victim because he could not control himself on seeing the victim leave their flat one day. However, the manager said that he had visited the woman at her home to hand over her indemnity as her contract had expired.

The victim suffered broken teeth in the assault.

Doctor in dock over fake sick leave notes

A doctor is facing trial for allegedly issuing fake sick leave certificates in return for money.

Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution charged the general physician of embezzlement of government seals from the hospital where he worked and using them to issue fake sick leave certificates, reported 'Al Khaleej' newspaper.

The doctor who was terminated from service allegedly did not return his seal and continued issuing leave certificates against a fee of Dh100 per day. Police acting on a tip-off approached him for a sick leave certificate and arrested him.

Unhappy husband beats up doctor

A husband who was unhappy with the treatment given to his wife banged a computer on the head of the doctor in Kuwait, according to Al-Shahed daily.

A case of assaulting and insulting an official on duty has been registered against the accused.

Teacher allegedly transfers huge sums

The Abu Dhabi General Prosecution for Public Funds is investigating a case where an Arab teacher of a private school allegedly transferred huge sums of money to his native country in one year.

According to 'Al Bayan', the case was reported by the money exchange firm because it is a rule to notify officials in case of huge transfers. Initial investigations revealed the tutor does not earn more thn Dh3,000 a month. 

And so suspicions arose about the source and intention of the transfer. The prosecutor has issued a warrant for his arrest.

Youth held for molesting woman in market

A GCC national who allegedly molested a Kuwaiti woman in a crowded market has been arrested.

According to Al-Rai daily, the youth was stalking her for quite some time while she ignored him before he took his chance in a crowded market place. She screamed for help and the public handed him over to cops.
