Dealer sells heroin to undercover cop

An Asian drug dealer who managed to smuggle 56 heroin capsules into the UAE was arrested after he tried to sell them to an undercover policeman.

Acting on a tip-off, the policeman posing as a buyer contacted the dealer and agreed to meet him for the Dh33,600-deal.

The dealer came by taxi and cautiously headed to the car, where the presumed buyer was waiting. As he gave him the stuff and got the money, police waiting in their vehicles nearby swooped in and seized him.

At court hearings on Sunday, the judge decided to adjourn the session to February 2 at the defence lawyer’s request.
