Death penalty for woman's killers upheld

The Federal Supreme Court has upheld the death penalty given to an Asian man and his girlfriend accused of murdering an Emirati woman  in the eastern reagion, reported Al Khaleej.

The deceased who was in her 30s and specially-abled was found dead in her house in Luluyah area.

She was found tied up. She had marks on her body and was strangled by a piece of cloth.

The Criminal Court had awarded the duo the death penalty. But they moved the Appeals Court, which upheld the ruling.

The accused then moved the Supreme Federal Court, which also upheld the sentence.
