Dh100,000 Sharjah kidnap plot: 4 held for impersonating CID
Sharjah Police, in cooperation with their Dubai counterparts, have arrested three Bangladeshis and a Pakistani for kidnapping and robbing a man of Dh100,000 by impersonating the police.
Sharjah Police received a complaint from a Bangladesh citizen that four people in Emirati costume had stopped him as he got off his car. Claiming to be CID officers, they forced him to enter their car. He said the car was driven through the street of Sharjah before turning to Dubai.
In the car, the victim was beaten up the gang and robbed of a bag which contained Dh100,000.
Police officers investigating the crime came to know of the involvement of JKA, a Bangladeshi, and that he is present in Dubai.
JKA was arrested and he admitted to impersonating the police and robbing the victim and named AH and MA, both Bangladeshis, and AP, Pakistani, as his accomplices.
