Driver brings goods, gropes purchaser

A Pakistani driver was sentenced to three months in prison for groping a Chinese airhostess after transporting furniture to her house in Dubai’s Al Nahda area.

MS was also ordered to be deported by the Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance.

On January 18, at around 8pm, JW bought some furniture from Home Centre which arranged a driver to transport her purchases home.

“I called the driver and he came and picked the furniture. He also brought them up to my house in Al Nahda. When he finished, I shook his hand in appreciation of his service. Suddenly, he hugged me and groped my breast. I pushed him away and shouted at him. He apologised and left the flat. I chased him and asked the building’s security staff to catch him,” said the victim.

Police arrived and arrested MS, 25, who denied the accusation when he appeared before the court on March 7.
