Drug 'buffet' in trunk of car stopped near Jebel Ali

A suspected drug dealer identified by Dubai Police a major criminal has been arrested.

The unemployed, 44-year-old Emirati, identified as AMM, was arrested in a operation involving the Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah police, on the Dubai bypass road, as he was headed to Jebel Ali.

Police allegedly found different kinds of illegal drugs in his car.

Major General Abdul Jalil Mahdi Al Asmawi, Director of Anti-Narcotics at Dubai Police, said drugs found in the car included 6.252kg of hashish, 23gm of heroin and 42 Tramadol tablets, in addition to a methamphetamine known as Shibo.

The Dubai Police have been on the trail of the dealer for many months now.

The accused confessed to his crime and said he had been in contact with an Asian from an Asian country who supplied him the drugs.
