Dubai Police arrest jewel thieves

Dubai Police had recently arrested a gang of three Asian nationals  for stealing Dh10 million worth of precious stones from a European company in Al Barsha.

The company’s owner was surprised to learn that the gemstones were missing after he came back from his travels; he immediately informed the police of the incident.

Arabic daily ‘Emarat Al Youm’ reported the authorities apprehended the suspects shortly. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that one of the gang members had been tailing the owner’s son through security cameras, which enabled him to learn the secret pin to the vault where the gems were kept.

The other two who were in possession of the stones and were caught as they tried to find a way out of the country.
