The Dubai Prosecution emphasis the importance of reporting the escape of the sponsored.

The Dubai Public Prosecution stressed the need to inform the sponsor of the escape of his sponsored person.

Today, the prosecution said, through its official account on "Instagram": In case the sponsored worker escaped the sponsor must submit an absconding report to the GDRFA within ten days of the worker's escape to avoid legal accountability and to coordinate with domestic labor recruitment offices to select the appropriate worker in accordance with the specifications and requirements and the extent of her suitability for work tasks at home. 

The domestic worker must also resort to the official authorities in the event of a dispute between her and the sponsor, in order to obtain her right by the law.

In the same context, she reported the story of a worker 

used to carry out all the tasks of the large house consisting of 9 people. At the beginning she was very active as he was in need to save money for her family, whom she left them on the other side.
 
And she moves away from them to work as an domestic helper, so she agreed with one of the labor recruiting offices in her country to coordinate with the offices present in the Emirates to work for families as a Babysitter, and indeed she came to the UAE, but when she worked for the family chosed her, she was handed over all the housework without exception.
  
She began to complain, but her employers, the “heads of the family,” promised her that another domestic worker would be brought into the house, and the work and tasks that she performs daily would decrease. And every time they promised her, she began to suffer from exhaustion and fatigue, so she gradually began to neglect her work, and she received insults from her employer more and more.

The worker decided to put an end to her misery when she saw that the office did not stand beside her in the matter of her role as a babysitter and not to do the cooking, wiping, cleaning, arranging, washing and other household works. Then she escaped in agreement with a maid whom she knew through one of her social media programs on the phone and promised her that she would work as a waitress in a small restaurant with a good salary along with the accommodation, here she felt that this is her golden opportunity and the hope she was waiting for to support her family members in her country.
 
The domestic helper escaped to work as a waitress in one of the suburbs of the area after working for several months in that house, but she stumbled again as she was arrested by the competent authorities for working in the country without a permit and referred to the court and sentenced to pay a sum of money with imprisonment and deportation, but she was not arrested alone, but also the sponsor - the “sponsor” who did not report the absconding of his worker - was summoned and referred to court on charges of not employing a sponsored person and leaving him to work for others according to articles (5, 7, 8, 25/2-5, 9) From Federal Decree-Law No. (29) of 2021 regarding the entry and residence of foreigners, as a fine of AED 50,000 was imposed on him
