Two Emiratis allegedly attacked two watchmen of a villa under construction with a knife and robbed their mobiles and Dh250, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
On October 28, at around 11pm while the two guards JD, 23, Indian, and his compatriot MK, 24, were sleeping in a villa under construction, two entered the place and asked them for their IDs.
The two robbed mobile phones of JR and MK and Dh250 after wounding them with a knife before running away.
They called the police who arrived and rushed them to hospital.
Police arrested AM, above 18 and GY, 19, for their involvement in another crime.
Confronting the two about their involvement in this crime, they admitted to committing it.
AM admitted to robbing the mobile phone and cash from one of the victims. Police confiscated the mobile phone of JR in his possession.
The victim recognised his mobile phone.
GY admitted to selling the other mobile phone in Fujairah.
The two guards recognised the accused when shown to them via identification parade.
The court will give verdict on April 12.
