The State Security District of the Federal Supreme Court today sentenced Arab national (KFM) to five years in jail and fined him Dh1 million on charges of creating and managing an account on social media platform Twitter and disseminating information promoting Daesh's ideology despite his knowledge of its terrorist goals.
The Court, presided over by judge Mohammed Al Tunaiji, also found the Arab defendant guilty of posting two video clips of landmarks in one of the emirates, coupled with provocative songs for Daesh.
One of the two clips showed the defendant pledging allegiance to Daesh leader and support him in the UAE.
