Jail for taxi driver who molested 12-yr-old

A 35-year- old Indian taxi driver received three months in jail for molesting a 12-year old student while dropping her to school.

The Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance also ordered AWS to be deported after serving his jail term.The victim AAI, Iranian testified her elder sister called Dubai Taxi on October 19 at around 7am.

“Ten minuites later the taxi arrived at Dubai Land area and I sat in the front seat asking the driver to drop me to the school in Al Garhood area. He touched me 'inappropriately'. I shouted at him so he removed his hand… before reaching to the school he repeated that… so he stopped…I paid him the fares and rushed inside the school very scared. I informed the principle who called my mother and told her what happened. My mom informed the police.”AWS, was asked by the police to come to Al Rashidiay station following the complaint.

AWS told the police that a dispute occurred between him and the girl who wanted to increase the volume of the Radio. “But as we arrived to the school she was sleeping so I tried to wake her up by shaking her shoulder… but she shouted at me then she got off the car,” He testified.The accused confessed to touching the victim’s shoulders but was just to wake her up.
