Juice maker in trouble for giving maid a squeeze

The Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance sentenced an Indian juice maker to three months in jail followed by deportation after finding him guilty of groping a maid in the lift of her employer’s building.

According to the records, JB, 32, Sri Lankan, testified that her employer had asked her to buy some groceries from the shop on the ground floor of the building.

“I got down and went to the grocery shop and as I returned into the building I saw a man entering a lift. I got into the other lift which was also coming down. Though I pressed the second floor button, the lift stopped at the first floor.

“Suddenly, the same man got into the lift and after the door closed he groped my private parts and kissed me. I shouted at him and for help but no one heard me. When the lift stopped at the second floor, I rushed out towards my employer’s flat. I told my employer who notified the police,” testified the victim.

Police arrested MI, 26, a worker of the cafeteria located in the same building. MI admitted to the crime.
