Sharjah police seized two men a few days after murdering an Indian man following a fight over liquor trading, newspapers said on Wednesday.
Colleagues had found the body of the victim, in his 30s, tied in his room in the industrial area 13 and phoned the police.
Police said forensic examination showed the victim had been beaten and could have been strangled as pieces of cloth and ropes were found near his body.
After investigation, police managed to locate one suspect who confessed to the murder and led them to his accomplice in a nearby emirate.
The two, who were not identified, told police that they killed the SB, who had sneaked into the UAE illegally, to avenge his attack on one of them.
The two also confessed that they had known the victim for a while as they used to sell him liquor.
