The Dubai Public Prosecution has moved a case against a Filipino woman in the Dubai Criminal Court on charges of forgery of a rent lease submitted to the DNRD in order to renew her daughter's residence visa in the country.
The defendant claimed the lease was issued by Rera.
On investigation, the woman admitted she and her daughter live in one room of an apartment.
A DNRD employee discovered the lease is fake and the accused said she got the counterfeiter printed for Dh500.
