Rent contract forged to get mom's residence visa

A Syrian clerk allegedly forged a house rent contract to enable him to obtain a residence visa for his mother, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

OA, 32, submitted a photocopy of a registered lease attributed to Abu Dhabi Municipal Affairs Department to the DNRD to obtain a residence visa for his mother.

The accused admitted forging the lease contract by including his name as a tenant.

The Court will give its sentence on March 16.
