Three Indians allegedly attacked a Nigerian security guard and stole his wallet, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

The victim SK 32, went to the nearby supermarket in Al Quoz area on his weekend to buy some household commodities.

“On my way, three men who used to stand behind the building and sell alcohol stopped me and asked me about my nationality. After I told them that I am a Nigerian, the three started beating me with wooden bars. They stole my wallet, mobile phone and keys. They left me bleeding and ran away. I walked to the building and the security guard helped me and called the police,” said the victim.

Police supplied the victim with a number to call them if he spotted any of the attackers.

On the following day, the victim saw the attackers standing in the same area, so he called the police who came and arrested each of KS, 48, MK, 35, and BK, 34.

The victim recognised the attackers during an identification parade.

The accused admitted attacking the victim and claimed that was because of alcohol deal without giving further explanation.

The court will reconvene on May 13.
