A Moroccan security guard allegedly stole Dh200 from the charity box of the co-operative society he worked for, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
AS, 45, Emirati, a security officer at the society, told the police that footages of cameras captured MS picking up notes from the box.
“He was captured putting into the charity box a steel wire that carried a scotch tape at its head. After currency notes stuck on the tape, he pulled out the wire,” he testified.
When confronted with the camera footage, MS, 23, admitted to the committing the crime several times and stealing Dh200.
The Court will reconvene on March 2.
