Sharjah maid dumps newborn alive in waste

An Indonesian housemaid who became pregnant after an affair dumped her newborn daughter in the garbage in Khorfakkan, causing his death.

Police arrested the maid after a report from the hospital, where she visited a doctor after suffering from bleeding.

She confessed to have been involved in an affair with her employer’s son and an Asian man, adding that another maid helped her abort the infant.

Forensic tests showed the baby was still alive when she was thrown in the waste and police said DNA tests would be carried out to determine the baby’s father.
