Teen couple held in RAK for having affair

Police in Ras Al Khaimah have arrested a 15-year-old girl and her boyfriend, 16, on charges of having an affair, despite the boy’s denial.

The boy told the prosecutor that the girl had fled her home and came to his house but that he tried to persuade her to return to her family.

Emirat Alyoum daily said the girl confessed to having sex with the boy a few times while the lawyer for the boy noted that his client himself reported the girl to the police.

The lawyer also said tests showed that the girl had lost her virginity some time ago.
