In yet another fatal accident in Ras Al Khaimah, a teenager lost her life on Saturday while the car driven by her under-age sister overturned several times over.
The 17-year-old girl, without a driving licence, was speeding on Emirates Road when she lost control of the vehicle near Al Ittihad University in Ras Al Khaimah, resulting in the death of her 16-year-old sister. Her three brothers who were also in the car suffered moderate to serious injuries, reported Arabic newspapers.
The teen driver also was severely hurt in the mishap.
Police officials and ambulances rushed to the spot and transferred the body to the nearest hospital.
Police urged parents not to allow under-age children to drive vehicles.
