Ras Al Khaimah Police has solved the murder mystery of an Arab teenager, whose corpse was discovered on Friday morning in Al Mamoura area.
Brigadier Abdullah Khamis Al Hadidi, Director, Police Operations, Ras Al Khaimah, said the CID team has successfully managed to identity the suspect.
The 17-year-old apparently had moved out his home following a family dispute a short while before the unfortunate incident.
He checked-in with his friends where the suspect – an Emirati - was also present. The group of boys then went to another place and consumed some drugs, as well, according to the official.
The deceased then returned to stay with the suspect, who allegedly strangled him to death, revealed initial investigations.
The suspect along with another person reportedly carried the victim’s body and dumped in on a football ground.
The deceased was under the influence of drugs, according to forensic reports.
The group of boys are also under suspicion for the murder.
Brigadier Hadidi said investigations are still on as several other aspects need to be discovered.
