Two Arab men robbing an Asian cab driver in Sharjah made the mistake of their life when one of them forgot his mobile phone in the car.
The two hired the taxi and asked its driver to take them from Sharjah to Ajman at midnight before one of them used hit spray on the driver’s face.
The other passenger who was sitting in the back seat then grabbed the driver’s neck to allow his friend to take the Asian’s wallet, which contained personal papers and Dh900.
“After robbing the driver and fleeing, one of them forgot his mobile phone in the taxi. The driver took the phone to the police and reported the incident,” the Arabic language daily 'Al Bayan' said, adding that the two would be sentenced on July 31.
