An Egyptian who had been investigated for taking the drug Tramadol allegedly forged a medical certificate to help prove that he was under medical treatment, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

The records did not mention how AF, 30 was arrested. However, urine test proved that he had taken Tramadol.

AF claimed that he had been under medical treatment. Later he submitted a medical report issued by a hospital in Egypt. The report had stamps of the hospital, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UAE embassy in Egypt.

Criminal Evidences reported that the seals of the hospital and of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Egypt were forged. However, the stamp of the UAE embassy in Egypt was genuine.
