Visitor had heroin capsules in intestine
An Afghan visitor allegedly smuggled and possessed for promotional purpose 114 capsules containing 808gms of heroin, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
A customs inspector suspected the passenger MWM, 26, on his arrival at the inspection point at Terminal 2 of Dubai Airport on October 11, 2012.
Inspector Salem Saeed was assigned to search the luggage of the passenger but did not find any banned substance in it.
However, the X-ray showed strange substances in his digestive organ. When confronted, the passenger initially denied having anything inside his body but later confessed to possessing drugs in his digestive organ and he released a tablet, testified the inspector.
The accused said he needed to eat to release the rest of the capsules.
The court will reconvene on March 4.
