A Pakistani visitor allegedly hid 3.176 kilos of heroin under medical bandage on his legs, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
AMM, 29, arrived at Dubai airport on October 24 at around 2.15am. Anti-narcotics police officers became suspicious of his walk. “The passenger looked worried and was walking slowly and shuffling his feet slightly while walking. Searching him, we found medical bandages around his legs. Removing the bandages, we found heroin wrapped in plastic around his legs,” he testified.
The accused confessed that he was to deliver the heroin to an African at the airport to send it to Nigeria in co-ordination with a Pakistani in Nepal. He also confessed that he had received $1,000 as advance payment and another payment was due if the operation succeeded.
The court adjourned for verdict until January 19.
