Visitor possessed forged dollar notes worth $800

A 40-year-old n Iranian visitor allegedly possessed forged hundred-dollar notes worth US$800 for promoting them in the UAE, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

A Filipina accountant testified that while she was working in City Centre Carrefour, the accused paid her US$300 for his purchases.

“I gave the money to a colleague to check with a machine whether they were genuine. They were found to be forged, so the police was notified, “ she said.
 

Police confiscated another US$500 with MRR and all notes were proved to be forged.
